Life Style Change

Sorry it's been a while since I've posted. My camera battery is dead and since things have been crazy around here to say the least, I haven't gotten around to charging it. Every time I turn I say "Man, I missed a great opportunity again for some great pictures." So, I don't have any pictures for you but a lot of good things have happened.

1. I got my car back, good-bye Chrysler Town and Country

2. Alexa's Princess Castle came in (pictures to follow)

3. My brother -in -law Bart and Austin (the oldest son) both got baptized last Sunday. That was HUGE, AMAZING AND VERY TOUCHING. I'm so proud of the decision they've both made.

4.My cousin, aunt and uncle came out from North Carolina and brought my cousins 3 kids. It was a blast to see them and meet her 2 kids that I hadn't met yet. It's been that long since I had seen her. We took the kids to Downtown Disney and showed them a great time.

5. I received a package at my door, I looked closely and it was a Macy's box. I opened it up and there was the COACH BAG that I posted on my blog earlier. My father and mother in law surprised me and sent me the bag. Can you believe it? I felt loved! Thanks guys for making me smile in style!

6. That same day I get another delivery, this time it was YELLOW TULIPS with a note attached that said " Sunday in church God told me to send you yellow flowers" Thank you to the Kelly Family for loving on me. You made me smile and gave me joy! God is great, isn't he? Showering me with LOVE!! It's good to have God on your side.

7. Brielyn is officially crawling and standing up on things by herself. CRAZY how fast this is going by. We had to lower the crib mattress and highten the bars.

8. Alexa is climbing out of her crib, SO...... we turned her crib into the toddler bed. THIS IS TOO MUCH FOR ME ALL IN ONE DAY. My kids are growing right in front of my eyes.

9. I've decided to have a life style change. I am going to the gym about 3 times a week. I am eating healthy and just making better choices. I am making myself eat breakfast since it's the most important meal of the day. I am also taking a Women's Multi Vitamin. I don't like to call it a diet since I am planning on doing this to keep myself healthy for years to come. As part of holding myself accountable and being aware, I write down everything I eat in a journal. I will allow myself cheat days once I feel mature enough in my life style change. For now, I have to be strict! :) I am loving the way I'm feeling already. 24 hour Fitness here I come.

Any other takers on a Life Style Change? I'd love to have support and be a support to others. We can have cheat days together!

CARRIE UNDERWOOD DRIVES A CHRYSLER!

We had a problem with our SUV so we took our car in today to get it checked out by a friend of Chris'. Longer story short, it was double the price to rent an SUV. My husband smiled from ear to ear as he was on the phone with Hertz asking what kind of minivans they had available. I looked at him and said " Heck NO!" But, when he explained the deal, I couldn't justify paying double to "look cool."

I've always said, I'd NEVER drive a minivan. It's an ongoing joke between Chris and I. He knows how much I'm anti. No offense, if you have one. I just believe SUV'S are esthetically more pleasing to the eye and minivans seem to make me feel soooo OLD. There's just something about a minivan. So, Chris drives up today in a Chrysler Town and Country. I'll tell you the truth, I was afraid that I'd get a Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey and fall in love with it. I told myself even if I liked it, I wouldn't tell my husband because he'd go out and get me one.

It gets better....

So, I go to Target and have a great shopping experience. I'm putting the kids in the car when a lady approaches me and says " Do you know who Carrie Underwood is?" I said " Yeah, I know of her" She said, "I was looking at you all over Target, you look just like her." I said " You are the second person that's said that, I'll take it as a compliment, Thank you and Have a Great Day, Happy Easter." As I get in my minivan I laugh thinking....... I'm sure it was a DEAD GIVEAWAY I wasn't Carrie Underwood the minute she saw me at the Chrysler Town and Country.

I love people, I love Target and for today and today only,I love the Chrysler. Afterall, It did get us to Target and back safely.

Alexa's 2nd Birthday Party

Alexa's Princess Party turned out to be a blast! The day ended up a bit cold and windy but we made the best of it and it didn't stop us from celebrating... Snow White showed up and the kids got a Princess or Spiderman tattoo. From there they could decorate their own crown or castle with jewels, initial stickers and glitter glue. Everyone mingled then it was story time with Snow White. We all huddled around the "Club House" and listened to a Princess Story. At the end, Snow White passed out bubbles to each child and they got to play with eachother. From there we sang Happy Birthday to Alexa and enjoyed yummy cake and icecream. We played a game of Cinderella's Glass Slipper where each child got a prize then off to hit the pinata. (As if they weren't sugared up enough!) IT WAS FUN FILLED AND THE KIDS DIDN'T STOP. On a lighter note.

Coach came out with a few new handbags and because MACY'S is evil, they sent me an email to tell me about them. They also are creating a demand by saying that I can get 20% off if I buy it online by the 16th of March.

The boss (Chris) says they can create a demand but "Too bad we don't have the supply to back it up"

I guess that means NO???

I don't deserve it or need it anyways.

BUT... if you feel inclined to buy it for me, I won't reject you.

P.S. If you get this bag pictured above, don't let me see you carrying it. I WILL have to knock you down and take it from you. That's like dangling a dog treat in front of your pups face and expecting him not to jump.

Revolution, Friends and Family~

I had these thoughts heavy on my heart and wanted to share. Please do not allow this event to consume you any longer. Please do not let this hold you down and keep you from your normal routine. Please do not let this keep you from experiencing God's genuine love for you and your family and the plans he has for YOU. This is what the enemy wants. He wants to capture us in shackles and make us feel debilitated, to make us feel all of those bad thoughts and try and figure it all out... when it happened, why it happened, when it started, each event that let to this, each conversation before this, during this.....

See where I'm going? I know, because I've been there. We have to STOP, LET GO AND LET GOD. No one, even those that talked to these individuals will EVER be able to explain. It's unexplainable, uncomprehendable and irrational. ONLY GOD KNOWS THE TRUTH AND HE WILL REVEAL HIMSELF TO US IF WE LET HIM. HE WILL GIVE US THE HOPE AND PEACE THAT HE IS IN THIS. HE IS WORKING IN EACH OF OUR LIVES IF WE LET HIM. HE WILL DELIVER US FROM THE EVIL.

Step outside today and feel the beautiful sunshine he has brought to us. Do not get me wrong... I am not trying to be insensitive..... please continue to pray and display your emotions but don't let this get the best of you and your family. THE BEST THING WE CAN DO IS LOVE OUR BROTHER AND SISTER AND PUT GOD FIRST AND LET HIM DO THE REST!!!!

I LOVE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU AND I'VE NEVER FELT SO LOVED BEFORE.

During this Difficult Time...

Brie started eating rice cereal. And she's loving it!

Alexa shared her NEW BARBIE ESCALADE with her cousins.

I cling to PSALM 23 AND 25. Gods Word.

I cling to God and his everlasting HOPE, TRUTH, LOVE AND PURPOSE he has for me and my family.

I will not allow the enemy to deceive me or God's plan for my life.

I will continue to LOVE every single one of my family members.

I will absorb myself daily in God, prayer and the Bible.

I will find happiness in God's innocent children....
