THE BOULTON KIDS

We watched the Boulton kids the other night while Lyndsay and Bart went to dinner. We had fun. They each got an icecream from the ice cream man and they played outside (Chris loves beating up on the boys) then we came in and watched Nemo. After a while, they decided they wanted round 2 of dinner so they had some cereal. Brie knocked out first, then Aidan then Alexa..... Austin, Autumn and Asher all made it till their parents came home. Thanks guys for loving on Alexa and Brielyn, we had FUN!!!

THE CORN LADY

We have a lady that comes down our street with a shopping cart and what looks like a big tin trash can. There's a special name for it, but I don't remember what it is. All I know is what comes out of that trash can is AMAZING.

It started one night after we had Chris' baseball team over for dinner after they won the championships. My cousin Mark and a few other family members stayed late and we were all hanging outside when we heard the horn.... everyone was like " What's that?" I said, " It's this lady who walks up and down the street selling stuff out of a cart, I'm not sure what she sells though!" My cousin Mark jumped up and said "Oh I bet she sells corn and ____" He knew all the real names for this stuff, his ex wife was hispanic. So he runs out and comes back with all these plates of Fresh Corn On The Cob dipped in mayonnaise then rolled in parmesan cheese and squirted with Parkay Butter. All of our faces were dripping with butter and had cheese pressed against our cheeks, but WE DID NOT CARE. It was HEAVENLY!! Mark also had a fresh grated snow cone with Tamarindo on it. Some of us also had wagonwheel chips out of a plastic bag that she sprays lime juice on. We were pigging out.

Since that day on, we've supported the corn lady and her biggest fan happens to be ALEXA.... She's so sweet, when she hears the horn she says " Corn Lady, let's go get some." Alexa dives right in and the corn is as big as her.

THANK YOU COUSIN MARK FOR INTRODUCING US TO THE CORN LADY AND HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY. I KNOW YOU ARE HAPPY SPENDING YOUR 40TH IN HEAVEN. THANK YOU FOR THE MEMORIES...I MISS YOU SO MUCH!

"I GOT MY EARS PIERCED"

Ask Alexa and she'll happily tell you! On Wednesday, May 14th I took the girls to Claire's Accessory Store in Cerritos Mall to get their ears pierced.

How it started: I thought Brielyn would look cute with them and I wanted to do them young. I kept tossing up the idea and knew that I couldn't do just one of the girls. Alexa loves anything girly like jewelry and lipgloss so I started talking to her about it and pointing out people with their ears pierced. She's talked about it ever since.

So, on a whim, Chris got home from work, we had dinner and we ran to the mall spontaneously. IT WAS FUN! Alexa didn't cry at all(she got a lollipop and sticker) and Brie cried for a minute but they have been doing good ever since. When I clean them Alexa says "Mommy don't take them out" and if you ask her she'll tell you she likes them.

It's just up to me to take care of them!

THE GOOD 'OLE DAYS

If you didn't marry your high school sweetheart or go to High School with your spouse..... DON'T YOU WONDER WHAT THEY WERE LIKE IN HIGH SCHOOL?
I LOVE this shadow box Chris' mom made of his football memorabilia in High School. Each time I go to their house I like to look at it and this time I actually photographed it.
I may be a bit bias but I think he looks pretty dang HOT HERE!!! ;) He's #21(if you couldn't tell.)
I WISH I WENT TO HIGH SCHOOL WITH CHRISTOPHER HOFF.......I'll leave you with that.

A SPECIAL DAY

Before 10 o' clock this morning I already had two special deliveries. I got a beautiful arrangement in a margarita glass from my in-laws and another beautiful arrangement from my husband, Alexa and Brie! What a great way to start off the day. I was feeling the LOVE!!!

I'm looking forward to filling the margarita glass someday with something other than flowers.

THANKS GUYS, I LOVE YOU ALL.....

Papa, Taylor and Alexa playing Play Doh one morning

Brielyn and Uncle Nick bonding

Hailey and Alexa downing fresh strawberry virgin margaritas... Papa makes the good stuff with lots o' sugar for the girls.... I think they had brain freeze but kept going back for more!

Brielyn snuggling with Papa

Daddy and Alexa on Papa's John Deere.... its a lot more fun than a push mower!

The girls with Papa in the Guitar Room. They have a blast.

Sue and Hal's newly upgraded bathroom..... what a tub!

A few weeks ago we went to Grandpa Hal and Grandma Sue's house out in Apple Valley. It's always a blast when go out there. Even though it's only 1 1/2 hours away, we feel like we are so far. It's such a different place. They actually have backyards! We can see bulls and horses when we go. And, the girls get out of the normal routine. The best part is we get to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Nick and we get to visit Great Grandma and Grandpa Orman's beautiful house. The girls love running around their house and chasing the dogs and cats. Recently Grandpa and Grandma upgraded their house so it was quite different with granite EVERYWHERE. I posted a picture of their beautiful bathroom, I told them it needs to be in a magazine! We went up on a Friday and came home late Sunday. Thanks Hoff Family for having us.. we look forward to seeing you soon... WE LOVE YOU ALL.

Special Pictures

My beautiful princess sleeping like a good girl in her "big girl bed" She's so peaceful.
I can't believe my baby has 5 teeth... and the other eye tooth is coming in as we speak! Gosh I love this girl!!!

During the trying times...These are the faces and times that keep me sane!

WHY IS THE DIJON MUSTARD ON THE CARPET..

Well my friends, it's not mustard.... it's not baby food..... it's Brielyn's Poop. I had to do a double take myself... I couldn't believe it!!
Yeah, these are the kinds of days we've been having. I take Brielyn's diaper off, run in the bathroom to get another one and come out to see this. And the second picture is the remnants of Brielyn learning to finger paint.

Gotta love kids!

WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?

That is called Mommy trying to do 800 things at once and thought she pushed 30 seconds on the microwave but we all know, the TURKEY DOG would not be in this state if that were the case. I think I accidentally pushed 3 minutes. And, if I weren't doing 800 things I would have realized how long the 30 seconds was. JUST ANOTHER MOMMY MOMENT TO LAUGH AT.
